Zayn al-Askar joined Al Rugaib Holdings in 2011 and currently holds the position of Senior Director, Public Markets, Global Asset Management. In his current role, Hesham is responsible for Al Rugaib Holdings's public market investments within the Global Asset Management team, investing across equities, fixed income, and alternatives, and plays a key role in the portfolio construction process of the overall Global Asset Management portfolio.

Prior to Al Rugaib Holdings, Hesham worked at Gulf International Bank (GIB) as a Portfolio Manager and has also worked at Bank of Saudi Arabia & Saudi Arabia (BBK). Hesham holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from the American University of Beirut and is also a CFA Charter Holder. He currently serves on the board of Gulf Investment Corporation (GIC).
